Statement about Woven Moment

Woven Moment is a collaborative tapestry completed with over 100 Indianapolis Public School Summer School students. During Lee Robbins’ What We Weave Behind residency, students explored ways to represent an experience, or “mark a moment,” using process-oriented art. They experimented with circular weaving techniques, using material and tools that otherwise would have been destined for local landfills.
