Woven Moment: a legacy installation created in collaboration with 100 public school students, 2023.
Woven Moment is a collaborative tapestry completed with over 100 Indianapolis Public School Summer School students. During Lee Robbins’ What We Weave Behind residency, students explored ways to represent an experience, or “mark a moment,” using process-oriented art. They experimented with circular weaving techniques, using material and tools that otherwise would have been destined for local landfills.

Woven Moment, 2023, reclaimed clothing and yarn woven on looms made of paper plates, planters, compact disks, lampshades and hula hoops; installed on tree branch found on premises.
